Edelman has appeal hearing in PED case
Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman’s appeal of his four-game suspension for violating the league’s performanceenhancing drug policy was heard Monday.
Edelman, who enlisted New Yorkbased attorney Alex Spiro in his defense, reportedly argued the NFL made mistakes in the manner in which the test results were handled.
An ultimate ruling in the case has no timetable, though it reportedly could come next week.
Buccaneers: Former defensive end Keith Mccants, 50, was arrested near St. Petersburg, Florida, and charged with a felony count of possession of crack cocaine and driving with a revoked or suspended license, his ninth arrest in the Tampa area since 2010.
