Mariners 8, Orioles 7 — At Baltimore, Denard Span hit a tiebreakin­g sacrifice fly in the 11th after Kyle Seager delivered a two-run homer in the ninth for Seattle, which moved to 7-0 in extra innings. Chris Davis hit a three-run homer in the eighth for Baltimore.

Astros 7, Blue Jays 6 — At Houston, Alex Bregman hit a walk-off two-run homer in the ninth after doubling twice for Houston, which trailed 5-0 in the first inning after a poor start by Dallas Keuchel.

Athletics 3, Tigers 0 — At Detroit, Jed Lowrie hit a run-scoring double in the fourth, his third straight game win the winning RBI, and Chris Bassitt (1-3) shut out Detroit on two hits over six innings.

White Sox 6, Twins 1 — At Chicago, Jose Abreu and Avisail Garcia homered to back James Shields (3-9), who allowed four hits and struck out five over seven innings in his first scoreless start this season. Miami, Daniel Descalso homered to back Robbie Ray (3-0), who blanked Miami on two hits over six innings in his first start since going on the disabled list with a right oblique strain on April 29.

Pirates 5, Mets 3 — At New York, David Freese hit a go-ahead two-run single in Pittsburgh’s four-run ninth, after Zack Wheeler had shut out the Pirates on five hits over seven innings.

Reds 6, Braves 5 — At Atlanta, Adam Duvall hit a go-ahead two-run single in the seventh, and Jose Peraza homered and scored twice for Cincinnati in its ninth win in 10 games.
