Mariners 4, Orioles 2 — At Baltimore, Nelson Cruz homered and totaled three

RBIS for Seattle, which benefited from two 10th-inning errors to cap its first four-game sweep at Baltimore and improve to 8-0 in extra innings this season.

Twins 2, White Sox 1 — At Chicago, Logan Morrison, who homered in the seventh, doubled in the 13th with two outs and scored the go-ahead run on a basesloade­d walk to Max Kepler as Minnesota avoided a three-game sweep.

Athletics 4, Tigers 2 — At Detroit, Sean Manaea (8-6) allowed two runs over six innings to win his third straight start, cap Oakland’s 8-2 three-city trip and hand Detroit its ninth straight loss.

Cubs 11, Dodgers 5 — At Los Angeles, Anthony Rizzo hit a three-run double and Addison Russell a two-run homer in Chicago’s seven-run seventh. Clayton Kershaw had staked Los Angeles to a 3-1 lead before departing after five innings because of a pitch limit.

Rockies 9, Giants 8 — At San Francisco, DJ Lemahieu hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the ninth off Sam Dyson (2-2) and totaled five RBIS for Colorado, which blew leads of 5-2 and 7-5 and was down 8-7 before avoiding a series sweep.

Diamondbac­ks 4, Marlins 0 — At Miami, Zack Greinke (8-5) shut out Miami on seven hits over seven innings, singled twice, drove in a run, stole a base and scored while winning for the fifth time in six starts.

Brewers 6, Reds 4 — At Cincinnati, Eric Thames hit a go-ahead three-run homer in the seventh off Findlay Prep product Amir Garrett (0-1) to cool off Cincinnati, which had won nine of its previous 10 games.
