Saban lands new eight-year, $74.4M contract at Alabama
Alabama announced a new eight-year contract for coach Nick Saban worth at least $74.4 million, which again would make him college football’s highest-paid coach based on annual salary.
Saban, 66, who has led the Crimson Tide to five national titles over the past nine seasons, gets a oneyear extension, with his new agreement running through
2025 — boosting his average annual pay to $9.3 million if he stays through the duration.

Moss, who ran for 1,942 yards and scored 26 touchdowns for the Hurricanes from 2003 to 2006, died Thursday of an undisclosed illness, the school said. He was 33.
North Carolina: The NCAA ruled running back Antonio Williams, a former four-star recruit and an Ohio State transfer, immediately can play for the Tar Heels and has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Florida: Defensive end Adam Shuler, who had eight tackles for loss and three sacks at West Virginia last season, joined the Gators as a graduate transfer and is eligible to play immediately.
Texas: Suspended linebacker Demarco Boyd was charged with misdemeanor assault after being accused of punching a man multiple times after a July 4 multiple-car crash.
