Dodgers 8, Rockies 5 — At Denver, Chris Taylor and Brian Dozier homered off closer Wade Davis (1-6) in the ninth as Los Angeles won its sixth straight at Coors Field and pulled into a tie with Arizona atop the NL West. Spring Valley product Tyler Anderson held the Dodgers to one run over six innings.

Padres 8, Brewers 4 — At Milwaukee, Hunter Renfroe hit a go-ahead grand slam in San Diego’s six-run ninth, his fourth straight game with a home run. Milwaukee closer Corey Knebel (2-3) walked the bases loaded and allowed a run-scoring infield single before Joakim Soria served up Renfroe’s hit.

Nationals 6, Braves 3 — At Washington, Gio Gonzalez (7-8) allowed one run on three hits and one walk over seven innings to notch his first win since May 28, a span of 11 starts, as Washington secured a split of the fourgame set and dropped Atlanta one game behind Philadelph­ia atop the NL East.

Pirates 10, Giants 5 — At San Francisco, Elias Diaz, Josh Bell and David Freese homered to back Ivan Nova (7-6), who held San Francisco to two runs over six innings, as Pittsburgh won its third straight and dealt the Giants their third loss in a row.
