Nationals 8, Phillies 7 — At Washington, Ryan Zimmerman hit a two-run home run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Nationals over Philadelphia. Zimmerman’s drive landed just above the right-field wall and required review before the umpire crew acknowledged the homer.
Rockies 6, Padres 2 — At Denver, Ian Desmond laced a two-run triple in the sixth inning, and Jon Gray threw effectively into the seventh to lead Colorado past San Diego.
Brewers 4, Reds 0 — At Milwaukee, rookie Freddy Peralta tossed seven scoreless innings and drove in a run with his first career hit, combining with two relievers on a fivehitter to lead the Brewers past Cincinnati.
Mets 5, Giants 3 — At New York, Todd Frazier homered and hit an RBI double, Noah Syndergaard pitched six effective innings, and the Mets beat San Francisco. Gallo hit his 33rd home run, and Texas beat the Athletics.
