Suspect sought in stabbing that critically injured man
National Park Service investigators seek information about a stabbing at Lake Mead National Recreation Area this month that left a man critically injured.
Early on Sept. 7, Lake Mead officials received a call that a man had been stabbed near Stewarts Point and Blue Point Bay in the northern part of the lake, officials said.
The man was camping with another person, who was not injured, Park Service spokeswoman Christie Vanover said.
The victim was flown to an unspecified hospital. The suspect fled on foot but left behind a black backpack with yellow-green trim, park officials said.

Tips may be submitted anonymously; officials are offering up to $1,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of the suspect. SUV at Wigwam Parkway and Traverse Point, near Gibson Road.
When officers arrived, they found 29-year-old Qa’id Muhammad dead from a gunshot wound to his torso.
Henderson detectives served a search warrant that evening and arrested 38-year-old Ryan Small on suspicion of murder with a deadly weapon. He was booked into the Henderson Detention Center.
The shooting is believed to be drugrelated, according to police.
The shooting is the eighth homicide in the city in 2018, police said.
