Kraft cheese spread, creme brulee among this week’s finds

MANUFACTURERS regularly phase out products that don’t sell well — which can be a problem if it’s an integral ingredient in a recipe, as is the case with some of the Kraft cheese spreads sold in 5-ounce juice glasses. So we have good news for Angie Galli, who’s looking for the Roka Blue Cheese Spread and Pimento Spread. Ceci Schreiber found them at Winco, which is at 80 N. Stephanie St. in Henderson and 6101 N. Decatur Blvd. And Marlene Drozd said they’re on a high shelf at Smith’s at 9750 S. Maryland Parkway, near either the crackers or the popcorn.

For Joan Mcmaken, who’s looking for frozen creme brulee in individual bowls, Delores Norelli spotted them recently at Costco in Downtown Summerlin (but she thinks it’s a seasonal item, so you may want to move fast and stock up), and Susan Bognaski said Trader Joe’s carries them.

For W.D. Davenport Jr., who’s looking for a source for fresh green tomatoes, Phillip Lecato recommended Gilcrease Orchard at 7800 N. Tenaya Way, in the late spring through June.

And for Randy Gould, who’s looking for Chi-chi’s Salsa, Phil Mlynek said it’s at the commissary at Nellis Air Force Base, for those who have commissary privileges.
