Atlanta DE with uncle; had mental evaluation
Atlanta defensive end Takk Mckinley is with an uncle in Oakland after undergoing a mental evaluation prompted by a friend’s call to Los Angeles police.
It is not known what prompted Mckinley’s friend to call police.
Team spokesman Brian Cearns said the situation has been resolved and the team has been in “constant communication” with Mckinley, 23, a first-round draft pick in 2017 who led the Falcons in sacks with seven in 2018.
Steelers: The team is “not closing any doors” on Antonio Brown’s future but remains disappointed it hasn’t spoken to the All-pro wide receiver since the season ended, president Art Rooney II said.

Casey Kreiter was named to the Pro Bowl as a “need” player by AFC coach Anthony Lynn.
Jets: Former interim Cleveland coach Gregg Williams was hired as New York’s defensive coordinator.
