Nationals ace Scherzer ready to return, will start Thursday
Washington Nationals ace Max Scherzer is slated to start Thursday against the Colorado after recovering from inflammation under his right shoulder.
The 34-year-old right-hander has not pitched since July 6.

Cycling: Australian Caleb Ewan beat his sprinting rivals in suffocating heat to win Stage 16 of the Tour de France in Nimes, with Frenchman Julian Alaphilippe keeping the race leader’s yellow jersey.
Tennis: Sam Querrey won his singles match and played on two winning doubles teams to help the Vegas Rollers defeat the New York Empire 24-20 in a World Teamtennis match at Orleans Arena.
