Blood clot issue no longer slows center
New England center David Andrews isn’t on any workout restrictions after blood clots in his lungs forced him to miss all of last season. The 27-year-old captain started all but seven games from 2015 to 2018 and was in on 99 percent of offensive snaps in 2018.
Titans: Two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Johnathan Joseph agreed to a one-year deal for a 15th NFL season. The 36-yearold, who spent the past nine years with Houston, leads active corners in tackles (750) and passes defensed (194).
Cowboys: Free-agent offensive tackle Cameron Erving agreed to a one-year deal. The 27-year-old, who spent the past two seasons at Kansas City, has started 42 of 69 games since Cleveland drafted him in the first round in 2015.
Dolphins: First-round draft pick Tua Tagovailoa is the first Miami quarterback to wear uniform No. 1. The Alabama product wore No. 13 in college, but the Dolphins retired that number for Hall of Fame QB Dan Marino.
Jaguars: Former Pro Bowl linebacker Telvin Smith pleaded not guilty to charges of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. The 29-year-old has a May 20 court date and faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
Jets: Wide receivers
Quincy Enunwa (neck) and Josh Bellamy (shoulder) were placed on the reserve/physically unable to perform list. Enunwa, 27, is guaranteed $10.1 million over the next two seasons.
TV: Charles Davis, 55, an analyst on Fox Sports’ No. 2 team the past five seasons, will join CBS’S No. 2 crew this season.
