■ Marlins 5, METS 3: Miguel Rojas hit a tiebreaking RBI single during Miami’s four-run sixth inning to back Trevor Rogers, who pitched five effective innings for his first major league win.
■ Mariners 2, ANGELS 1: Jose Marmolejos hit a tiebreaking homer in the sixth inning to back Marco Gonzales, who retired 21 consecutive batters while throwing a four-hitter with eight strikeouts.
■ Orioles 4, BLUE JAYS 3: José Iglesias and Bryan Holaday had RBI doubles in the 11th inning and Iglesias threw out the potential tying run at home to break a five-game losing streak.
■ PHILLIES 8, Nationals 6: Rhys Hoskins homered and drove in three runs to back Spencer Howard, who allowed two runs and struck out four to earn his first major league win.
■ Rays 5, YANKEES 3: Tyler Glasnow stymied New York for six innings and Ji-man Choi and Kevin Kiermaier homered as Tampa improved to 7-1 against the Yankees.
■ Cardinals 7, REDS 5: Paul Dejong slugged his first career grand slam, helping Dakota Hudson to his first win. Hudson finished with a season-high seven strikeouts and no walks.
■ Braves 6, RED SOX 3: Austin Riley had a tiebreaking, bases-loaded triple to help Max Fried improve to 6-0. Fried gave up five hits, fanned five and walked two.
■ BREWERS 6, Pirates 5: Orlando Arcia’s pinch single with two outs in the eighth drove in the tiebreaking run. Josh Hader pitched a perfect ninth for his eighth save.
■ ROYALS 2, Indians 1: Maikel Franco and Bubba Starling had RBI singles in the eighth inning. It was the Royals’ first win this season when trailing after seven innings.
■ White Sox 8, TWINS 5: Luis Robert hit a tying homer in the seventh inning and the go-ahead double in the ninth for Chicago, the AL Central leader.
■ Padres 6, ROCKIES 0: Wil Myers hit a solo homer in the fourth inning to back Adrian Morejon, who struck out two in three innings of relief to pick up his first win.
