Boston’s win halted New York’s 10-game win streak and the Red Sox’s 12-game skid against the Yankees.

■ MARLINS 2-0, Nationals 1-15: Palo Verde product Brandon Kintzler escaped a bases-loaded jam in the opener for his 10th save after Miami scratched out a goahead unearned run off Max Scherzer (4-4) in the opener. Kurt Suzuki homered and doubled in Game 2, bouncing back from his Game 1-ending strikeout.

■ ORIOLES 2, Rays 1: Renato Nunez hit a two-run single in the first to back John Means (2-3), who allowed one run and struck out 12 over 5 2/3 innings. Ryan Yarbrough (1-4) pitched seven-plus innings for Tampa Bay.

■ ASTROS 3, Diamondbacks 2: George Springer homered twice for Houston, including an inside-the-park shot, and Carlos Correa drove in the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly in the eighth.

■ Blue Jays 6, PHILLIES 3: Teoscar Hernandez hit a two-run homer on a 3-and-0 pitch to back Taijuan Walker (4-3), who allowed one run in six innings, as Toronto halted a six-game slide.
