■ RED SOX 10, Yankees 2: Michael Chavis hit a threerun homer and a two-run shot to back Tanner Houck (2-0), who took a no-hitter into the sixth in his second major league start, ultimately allowing one unearned run on one hit in six innings. Boston’s win halted New York’s 10-game win streak and the Red Sox’s 12-game skid against the Yankees.

■ MARLINS 2-0, Nationals 1-15: Palo Verde product Brandon Kintzler escaped a bases-loaded jam in the opener for his 10th save after Miami scratched out a goahead unearned run off Max Scherzer (4-4) in the opener. Kurt Suzuki homered and doubled in Game 2, bouncing back from his Game 1-ending strikeout.

■ ORIOLES 2, Rays 1: Renato Nunez hit a two-run single in the first to back John Means (2-3), who allowed one run and struck out 12 over 5 2/3 innings. Ryan Yarbrough (1-4) pitched seven-plus innings for Tampa Bay.

■ ASTROS 3, Diamondbac­ks 2: George Springer homered twice for Houston, including an inside-the-park shot, and Carlos Correa drove in the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly in the eighth.

■ Blue Jays 6, PHILLIES 3: Teoscar Hernandez hit a two-run homer on a 3-and-0 pitch to back Taijuan Walker (4-3), who allowed one run in six innings, as Toronto halted a six-game slide.

■ Braves 7, METS 0: Ronald Acuna Jr. homered to break a scoreless tie in the sixth and totaled four RBIS to back Kyle Wright (2-4), who allowed one hit over 6 1/3 shutout innings.

■ Padres 7, MARINERS 4: Newcomer Mitch Moreland hit a go-ahead RBI double in San Diego’s three-run 11th as the Padres clinched a playoff berth for the first time in 14 years.

■ REDS 7, White Sox 3: Mike Moustakas hit a two-run single, the lone hit in Cincinnati’s five-run fourth. Chicago starter Dylan Cease (5-3) walked seven in three-plus innings.

■ Rangers 7, ANGELS 2: Bishop Gorman product Joey Gallo hit one of five Texas home runs, and Kyle Cody (1-1) allowed one run over five innings in his first major league win.

■ Twins 4, CUBS 0: Max Kepler finished a triple shy of the cycle and drove in three runs to back Jose Berrios (5-3), who pitched six shutout innings to beat Yu Darvish (7-3).

■ Cardinals 2, PIRATES 1: Yadier Molina hit a tworun homer in the seventh to back Jack Flaherty (4-2), who allowed one run on two hits and struck out 11 in six innings.

■ Indians 7, TIGERS 4: Jose Ramirez hit two two-run homers to back Carlos Carrasco (3-4), who shut out Detroit on one hit and struck out 11 over seven innings.

■ BREWERS 5, Royals 3: Daniel Vogelbach hit a threerun homer and a two-run shot in support of Josh Lindblom (2-3), who allowed one run in 5 1/3 innings.

■ ROCKIES 6, Dodgers 3: Josh Fuentes drove in three runs with two singles to back Antonio Senzatela (5-2), who held Los Angeles to one run in 6 1/3 innings.

■ Giants 14, ATHLETICS 2: Brandon Crawford hit a grand slam, and Chadwick Tromp and Darin Ruf each added a two-run homer for San Francisco.
