No. 1 Stanford women rally in second half, beat Oregon
SANTA CRUZ, Calif. — Haley Jones had 18 points and six rebounds for No. 1 Stanford, which used an explosive third quarter to beat No. 11 Oregon 70-63 on Friday.
Francesca Belibi’s three-point play with 17 seconds left in the third capped a second 9-0 run that period by the Cardinal (10-0, 7-0 Pac-12), who were playing in Northern California for the first time since Dec. 13.
The Ducks (8-2, 6-2) lost again after falling out of the top 10 with a home loss to UCLA that ended their nation-best 27-game win streak. Oregon had won its past three meetings with Stanford but never has beaten a top-ranked team.
Stanford’s run spanning the final two quarters reached 13-0 before Sydney Parrish’s three-point play at 7:48 of the fourth.

At East Lansing, Mich., Trevion Williams scored 22 of his 26 points in the second half, including a go-ahead jumper with 4.5 seconds left, for the Boilermakers (8-5, 3-3 Big Ten), who overcame a 17-point deficit. The Spartans (8-4, 2-4), who led 31-16 at halftime, missed 11 of their last 13 shots while shooting 39 percent.
