Joyce Lee Voit age 89, recently of Las Vegas NV passed away January 12, 2021. Joyce Marion Lee was born in Lakewood OH to Irene Marie (Kier) and Harry J. Lee on March 2, 1931. Joyce graduated from Lakewood High School, then worked at Sohio in Cleveland. She married Rolland L. “Bud” Voit in Lakewood, OH October 18, 1952. Joyce and Bud raised three children in Lakewood enjoying family and “The Valley”. A variety of opportunit­ies took Bud and Joyce to homes in Barrington IL, Logan UT, Casper WY, and the St. Louis, MO area where they retired. Health issues prompted a move to Las Vegas NV in early 2020 to be closer to family. Music was always an important part of Joyce’s life and a piano or two were always present within her home. She accompanie­d many contest students, choirs, vocalists, and others throughout her life. Joyce enjoyed piano lessons, two-piano performanc­es, and playing with many groups throughout her long life. While Joyce was growing up her family took many vacations by automobile to many parts of the United States. This love of travel continued as Joyce and Bud enjoyed many memorable trips through Europe, the British Isles, Russia, China, New Zealand, and Hawaii. Particular­ly notable trips included Denmark where her Mother’s family had roots, an African safari, and Iceland. Joyce is survived by, and will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by sister Judy Frederick, and children Deborah (Tim) Vogt, Steve (Terry) Voit, Diane (Martin Culley) Voit.
