Perron keys Blues’ rally in OT victory over Kings

LOS ANGELES — Mike Hoffman scored 90 seconds into overtime as the St. Louis Blues rallied for a 3-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Friday.

Former Golden Knight David Perron scored twice for St. Louis, including with 44 seconds left to send it to overtime.

Hoffman ripped a slap shot from the right faceoff circle past Cal Petersen for his seventh goal of the season to give the Blues their third straight win.

Perron has nine goals this season and extended his point streak to five games (three goals, three assists). Ville Husso stopped 28 shots for the Blues.

Jeff Carter and Dustin Brown scored for Los Angeles, which has lost four in a row following a six-game win streak. Petersen made 19 saves.

■ Bruins 5, Capitals 1:

At Boston, Brad Marchand had two goals and an assist to back Jaroslav Halak, who had 31 saves. Boston scored three second-period goals after Washington right wing Tom Wilson smashed Bruins defenseman Brandon Carlo’s head into the glass with 90 seconds left in the first period. Boston left wing Trent Frederic and defenseman Jarred Tinordi later fought Wilson.

■ Blackhawks 4, Lightning 3, SO: At Chicago, Philipp Kurashev scored the lone shootout goal to back former Golden Knight Malcolm Subban, who had 39 saves through overtime and two in the shootout to halt Tampa Bay’s six-game win streak.

■ Avalanche 3, Ducks 2, OT: At Denver, Valeri Nichushkin scored his second goal of the game 2:45 into overtime to back Philipp Grubauer, who had 26 saves, as Colorado rallied from a 2-0 deficit.

■ Wild 5, Coyotes 1: At Glendale, Ariz., Mats Zuccarello had a goal and an assist to back Kaapo Kahkonen, who stopped 24 shots.
