Talbot, Wild stay hot at home, blank Blues
St. Louis’ 37-11 shots edge goes for naught
ST. PAUL, Minn. — Kirill Kaprizov had a goal to pad his NHL rookie scoring lead, Cam Talbot made 37
saves in his 24th shutout and second this season, and Minnesota beat St. Louis 2-0 on Thursday, stretching the Wild’s franchise-record home win streak to 11 games.
Marcus Johansson also scored for Minnesota, which improved to 13-3 at Xcel Energy Center despite being outshot 37-11. Talbot is 7-0 at home in his debut season with the Wild, with nine goals allowed. Minnesota is 15-4-1 with four shutouts in its past 20 games.
Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington took his first loss to the Wild in four career starts. He’d allowed only three goals over his first three games against the division rival.

■ Blackhawks 3, Panthers 0: At Chicago, rookie Kevin Lankinen had 41 saves in his second shutout, and Patrick Kane and Brandon Hagel each had a goal and an assist. Florida went 0-for-6 on the power play.
■ Hurricanes 4, Blue Jackets 3, OT: At Columbus, Ohio, Sebastian Aho scored 1:26 into overtime after Columbus had tied it at 3 on Oliver Bjorkstrand’s goal with 16 seconds left in regulation.
■ Capitals 4, Devils 3: At Washington, Evgeny Kuznetsov scored twice for Washington, which won for the eighth time in nine games and halted New Jersey’s two-game win streak.
■ Stars 4, Lightning 3: At Dallas, Roope Hintz and Joe Pavelski each had a goal and two assists for Dallas in its first win over Tampa Bay in five meetings this season.

OT: At Ottawa, Ontario, Justin Holl scored with 18 seconds left in overtime after Auston Matthews broke up a 3-on-1 Ottawa rush.
■ Islanders 4, Bruins 3, OT: At Boston, Anthony Beauvillier scored 21 seconds into overtime as New York overcame a 2-0 deficit and won its third straight.
■ Rangers 8, Flyers 3: At Philadelphia, Mika Zibanejad had three goals and three assists and Adam Fox five assists in New York’s third straight win.
■ Predators 7, Red Wings 1: At Nashville, Tenn., Rocco Grimaldi scored four goals to tie a Nashville record and back Juuse Saros, who stopped 20 shots.
