PATRICK T. O’CONNOR

Patrick Terrence O’connor, a constant reinventor of his life moved on to his last reinvention on March 23, 2021 in Las Vegas, NV. His love of family, mystery novels, entrepreneurship, and what the world has yet to unfold motivated his living years. He is remembered for his undying sense of right and wrong, and the grey areas in between, where he was fond of lingering. Son to Michael Terrence O’connor I and Opal Iella

Zornes O’connor, Patrick was born February 23, 1947 in Bluefield WV, in the midst of a fierce snowstorm. He attended Sacred Heart Elementary School, was an altar boy at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, an Eagle Scout, and a graduate of Bluefield High School class of 1965. He later graduated from the School of Foreign Service of Georgetown University in 1971 in International Economics. His life of curiosity took him across the Americas at a time where many of his countrymen thought the world ended at our southern borders. A self-proclaimed hillbilly, he never lost his West Virginia roots, but did not let those roots from keeping him too grounded in his surroundings. Instead, he moved, monitored, absorbed, and learned from a world that he felt had so much to take on. He took it on. Also, he loved to fish!

His quiet love of fishing and the outdoors was shared with his children, nieces and nephews, and grandchildren. Patrick also enjoyed reading, history, and politics. His gift of meaningful conversation and wry sense of humor will be treasured by all who knew him in person and on Facebook. Patrick is survived by his loving wife Maria Isabel O’connor of Henderson, NV, his sister Patricia O’connor of Stowe, VT, his five children, Michael O’connor II of Chevy Chase, MD,

Christian O’connor of Severn, MD, Emilia O’connor Barr of Chevy Chase, MD,

Kevin O’connor of Henderson, NV, Megan O’connor of Grapevine, TX, grandchildren Cheyanne, Isabel, Nathan, and Iella, ex-wife Ana Delgado and many nieces and nephews in NV, VT, CA, MD; preceded in death by Ana Mercedes O’connor, daughter (1976). Please join the
