Dorothy Lynn Morris (Billedeaux), 97 years old, passed away at her home in Henderson, Nevada, surrounded by family and friends on March 30th, 2021. Dorothy was born on October 8th, 1923 on a Blackfoot Indian reservatio­n in Browning, Montana to Nannie Irene King, (mother) and Greeley Billedeaux, (Father). She had two sisters, Rose Marie and Nancy and one brother King.

Dorothy was married to Stanford Emerson Morris in 1956, they owned a bar, café and beauty salon in Redondo Beach California before moving to Henderson, Nevada. She was employed by the City of Henderson for 10 years and volunteere­d at St Rose De Lima Hospital gift shop for 30 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, The Red Hat Society, and the Eastern Star where she became the Worthy Matron. She loved arts and crafts winning many awards for her creativity. Dorothy is survived by her son Donald L. Griffie, 9 grandchild­ren., 17 great grandchild­ren and 10 great-great grandchild­ren. Dorothy was predecease­d by her parents, husband Stanford Morris, and her son Gary L. Griffie. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmothe­r and friend. She was an inspiratio­n to all who knew her, and she will be truly missed. Services will be held at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015 on April 12th, 2021 from 9am to 1:00 pm for closed casket viewing and snacks and for graveside service from 1:00 pm 2:00 pm
