JOHN C WICKMAN 1938 - 2021

John Conrad Wickman passed away peacefully at home with his wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Jones and his three best friends, Rocky, Star, and Coco, by his side. He will stop by the Rainbow Bridge to pick up other friends (Frosty, Buddy, Teddy, Pixie, Maggie Mae, Doodle Bug, and Brandy), who are waiting for him and they will go on to be with God in their Heavenly home where they will wait for Betty to join them in the future. John was born in Willoughby, Ohio, the only child of John Fremont Wickman and Anna M. Kusmierkow­ski. He graduated St. Joseph’s High School in 1956 and went on to take college courses in business and sales. He married his first wife, Linda Saxe, in 1960. They had four sons who survive him, David (Marie), Greg (Michelle), of Cleveland, Christophe­r (Juliette), Bryan (Lisa) of Virginia, and one daughter, Lynda, who died as an infant. John had 10 grandchild­ren and five great grandchild­ren. They divorced in 1982 and John married Sandy Kearney in Las Vegas, in 1984, divorcing in 1992. John and Betty shared almost 30 wonderful years of friendship, love, and laughter. Where you found Betty, you would also find John. He always said the third time is the charm. He missed his favorite time of the year rooting for his team in the Final Four and betting on brackets with his friends and cousins. He will be up there cheering for his Brown’s from the Dog Pound in the sky, the Indians and the Cavaliers. John loved life, his pups, golf, and people. John volunteere­d with Betty and their Therapy Dog, Frosty, visiting Hospitals and Nursing Homes for 10 years. He worked for Parker Hannifin in Cleveland, Air Liquide in Nevada and was the Branch Manager for MAC Tech in Henderson. He owned Wickman Instrument­ation and Controls a Distribute­r for various companies Manufactur­ing process materials and equipment. All of his customers became friends. He was a life member of ISA, a past member of NAPM/ ISM, S. NV and APICS. Services will be held at Mountain View Presbyteri­an Church Las Vegas NV 7/17/21 at 11 am with graveside services to follow at Mt. Royal Memorial Cemetery 7/28/21 at 2 PM in Glenshaw, PA. John’s sense of humor and kindness to humans and animals alike will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite Animal Rescue or Shelter in his name.
