EDWARD FASULO

Ed Fasulo passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family in Las Vegas, NV on October 10, 2021 after a very short fight with cancer. Originally from Mansfield, Massachusetts he entered the U.S. Navy where he served his country aboard the USS America (CSN 66). When he honorably discharged from the Navy in California, he attended college and worked as a chef at Club 33 located inside Disneyland. Club 33 is where he met the love of his life Denise. They raised two wonderful children Todd and Jennifer. In 1969 Ed and Denise moved to Las Vegas where he opened the International Casino Hotel which later became the Hilton Hotel. He worked there as the Executive Chef for almost 20yrs. He regularly cooked for Elvis Presley and other famous celebrities. After leaving the Hilton Ed became the Executive Vice President and COO for Elsinore Corporation and the Four Queens. He also spent 6yrs in Atlantic City operating the Atlantis Casino and Hotel. In 1994 Ed became the VP and General Manager of the new Fiesta Casin o/hotel where he stayed until the design of the future Palms Casino was complete. After a short retirement he then went to work for Ameristar Casino in Council Bluffs, Iowa as the Senior VP and General Manager. In 2005 Ed signed on with Venture Catalysts Inc., as their Executive VP of the Gaming Group. His next adventure was presented in 2007 when he became the President and COO of Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, PA. where he oversaw the construction and opening of the property. In 2011 Ed moved to San Diego and worked as the VP of Food and Beverage for Barona Casino and Resort. Ed finally retired in 2019 after

50yrs in the gaming industry. Ed was an original board member of the Fremont Street Experience and board member of Nevada Resort Association and Nevada Hotel/motel Association. Ed was regarded as a visionary in the casino industry and always invested in and influenced those that he worked with. Always leaving places better than he found them. He believed that his employees were the most important asset to any company that he worked for. When Ed wasn’t working, he enjoyed camping, woodworking, golf and spending time on Lake Mead. He was active for many years in the Boy Scouts of America and numerous other civic organizations. Most importantly he was the patriarch of his family, and everyone looked to him for love, guidance and stability. Ed was predeceased by his wife Denise, his parents Anthony and Carmella, and his sister Joanne. He is survived by his son Todd (Cynthia) and Daughter Jennifer. Grandchildren Todd Jr. (Nicole), Christopher, Nathan, Alyssa (Fred), and Austin. Great grandchildren Todd III, Emerson and Tyson. Brother Anthony (Sally) and nephews Donnell (Maria) and Derek. Brother and Sister-in-law Kathy Anderson (Dewey) and Russell Raabe. Nieces and nephews Randy, Brian (Catherine), Denise (Miles), Andrea (Eric) and Melanie. Services will be private and interment will be at Palm Mortuary with his wife Denise.
