Jets QB White set for first NFL start against Bengals

Saleh said. QB Joe Flacco, 36, acquired Monday from Philadelph­ia, won’t join the Jets until Friday because of a personal matter. White, 26, a Western Kentucky producted drafted by Dallas in the fifth round in 2018, made his NFL debut in Week 7. Replacing injured rookie Zach Wilson (knee), White threw for 202 yards with a touchdown and two intercepti­ons.

■ Saints: Running back Mark Ingram was acquired from Houston for a lateround draft pick. The 31-year-old threetime Pro Bowl selection, who has run for 294 yards at an average of 3.2 per carry in 2021, spent his first eight NFL seasons with New Orleans. His 6,007 yards rushing with the Saints are 89 shy of Deuce Mcallister’s franchise record.

■ Buccaneers: Wide receiver Antonio Brown (ankle), sidelined in Week 7, is dealing with a sprain near his heel that could be a “long-term” injury, coach

Bruce Arians said. The 33-year-old fourtime All-pro has 29 catches for 418 yards and four touchdowns this season.

■ 49ers: Two-time Pro Bowl tight end George Kittle (calf), sidelined since Week 5, is expected to be activated for Week 9, and defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw (knee), out since Week 6, might need seasonendi­ng surgery, coach Kyle Shanahan said.

■ Bears: Linebacker Khalil Mack (foot) won’t play Sunday and could be sent to injured reserve, NFL Network reported. The 30-year-old six-time Pro Bowl selection, three-time All-pro and former Raider has six sacks this season.

■ Seahawks: Safety Marquise Blair will be sidelined the rest of the season after sustaining a kneecap fracture Monday. A 2019 second-round draft pick, the 24-year-old had played 26 percent of defensive snaps in 2021.
