ALICE HAHNFELD

-

Alice Hahnfeld, 89, of Henderson, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from Alzheimer’s. She was born December 5, 1931, in Chicago to Victor and Mary (nee

Zurawik) Ziarkowski. Alice was married to John F. Los, Jr. from 1949 until his passing in 1959. She then married Eugene Hahnfeld in 1967. Alice had a smile like no other. When the music played, she loved to dance. To know Alice was to love her. She loved the good in life. She cherished her children and loved babies, puppies and her flowers. Alice wanted the world to be a good place and didn’t understand when it wasn’t. We need more like her. Alice’s smile would light up a room. She could make you smile on your worst day. Alice truly cared about all her friends and strangers too. If you knew her, you loved her. Beautiful, as most would say “you should have been a movie star,” but it was the inside that was truly beautiful. Family was the most important. Her children were by her side, and blessed they learned what family is. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, John Los; mother, Mary; father, Victor; brothers, Thaddeus, Arthur and Edward; sister, Alfreda; and husband, Eugene Hahnfeld. She is survived by her son, Edwin (Marilyn) Los of Henderson; daughters, Mary Kathie Los (Martin Dillman), Rachel Hahnfeld Alexander (George) of Las Vegas; stepson, David Hahnfeld (Diane), of California; dearest friends, Leo Schlivka of Las Vegas and Nancy (Ron) Sullivan of Illinois; grandchildren, Aaron (Holly) Schlivka, Alyce (Clay) Mack and Bradley Hahnfeld of Henderson; great-grandchildren, Noelle Schlivka of Tennessee, Hunter Schlivka, Shawn Mack and Austin Mack of Henderson; many friends everywhere; and her dog, Mugz.
