SUNDAY’S NBA GAMES Wizards ride second-half rally to victory over Bucks

WASHINGTON — Bradley Beal scored 30 points as the Washington Wizards rallied in the second half to beat the Milwaukee Bucks 101-94 on Sunday.

Kyle Kuzma added 15 points and 10 rebounds for Washington, which had lost eight straight to the reigning NBA champions. Montrezl Harrell also had 15 points and Daniel Gafford 11 for the Wizards in a game that had seven ties and 18 lead changes.

Giannis Antetokoun­mpo had 29 points and 18 rebounds, Grayson Allen 19 points and Bobby Portis 13 points and 13 rebounds for the Bucks (4-6), who have lost five of their past six.

Gonzaga product Corey Kispert’s jumper with 2:54 left in the third quarter put Washington up 77-67. It was the Wizards’ first double-digit lead since early in the first. Gafford had 10 points in the third.

Milwaukee led 52-49 at halftime despite falling behind 12-0. Washington had 11 first-half turnovers and totaled 19.

The Wizards led 82-71 entering the fourth quarter. Washington shot 56 percent in the third while holding the Bucks to 33 percent.

Beal had his second game of the season with at least 30 points. He averaged more than 30 in each of the past two seasons.

■ Clippers 120, Hornets 106: At Los Angeles, Paul George scored 20 points for Los Angeles, which overcame a nine-point deficit with seven minutes left with a 22-0 run. Lamelo Ball had 21 points for Charlotte in its fourth straight loss.

■ Magic 107, Jazz 100: At Orlando, Fla., Cole Anthony scored 10 of his careerhigh 33 points in the fourth quarter to key a closing 24-11 run by Orlando, which trailed by 13 in the third quarter. Utah missed 18 of hits first 20 3-point tries.

■ Thunder 99, Spurs 94: At Oklahoma City, Mike Muscala scored 20 points on 5-for-6 shooting in 14 minutes for Oklahoma City, which overcame a 16-point first-half deficit. The Thunder had a 34-14 third-quarter scoring edge.

■ Pacers 94, Kings 91: At Sacramento, Calif., Caris Levert scored 22 points for Indiana in its first win in Sacramento in three years. The Kings opened the fourth quarter with an 11-1 run that the Pacers answered with a 10-0 spurt.

■ Warriors 120, Rockets 107: At San Francisco, Jordan Poole scored 15 of his 25 points in the first quarter for Golden State (8-1), which shot 52 percent in its fourth straight win. Houston (1-9) lost its eighth in a row.

■ Cavaliers 126, Knicks 109: At New York, Ricky Rubio scored a career-high 37 points for Cleveland, which overcame a 57-56 halftime deficit with a 33-18 thirdquart­er scoring edge in its fourth straight win.

■ Nets 116, Raptors 103: At Toronto, Kevin Durant had 31 points on 11-for-18 shooting, and James Harden scored 16 of his 28 in the fourth quarter for Brooklyn, which won its fifth straight.
