No. 22 Uconn outlasts No. 19 Auburn in 2OTS

Tyler Polley hit the go-ahead 3-pointer with 2:58 left in the second overtime and totaled 24 points to help No. 22 Connecticu­t beat No. 19 Auburn 115-109 in Wednesday’s first round of the Battle 4 Atlantis at Paradise Island, Bahamas.

Adama Sanogo scored 30 points for the Huskies (5-0), who blew a 15-point lead in regulation and squandered a lead late in the first overtime.

K.D. Johnson scored 23 of his 27 points after halftime for the Tigers (4-1), including driving baskets in the final seconds of regulation and the first extra period.

Jabari Smith scored 19 of his 22 points after intermissi­on for Auburn, including a 3-pointer with 2:39 left in regulation to erase the last of a 65-50 deficit.

■ No. 12 Houston 78, Oregon 49: At Michelob Ultra Arena, Fabian White Jr. had 15 points and Marcus Sasser 14 for the Cougars (5-1), who scored 29 points off 19 turnovers by the Ducks (3-3) in the Maui Invitation­al third-place game. Houston, which had a 40-22 scoring edge in the paint, led 41-19 at halftime.

■ No. 21 Seton Hall 62, California 59: At Fort Myers, Fla., Jared Rhoden had 21 points and seven rebounds for the Pirates (4-1), who overcame 34.0 percent shooting. Andre Kelly had 23 points and 11 rebounds for the Golden Bears (2-4), who trailed 27-25 at halftime.

MOUNTAIN WEST

■ Air Force 66, Denver 65: At Colorado Springs, Colo., A.J. Walker scored 27 points for the Falcons (5-1), who went ahead to stay when Jake Heidbreder made two free throws with 30 seconds left. Michael Henn had 16 points and nine rebounds for the Pioneers (3-4), who trailed 47-25 at halftime.
