Dolphins’ Waddle, Ingold exit practice with injuries
Miami wide receiver Jaylen Waddle and fullback Alec Ingold left Wednesday’s joint practice against Atlanta with injuries. Waddle went down grabbing at his right side after making a catch and walked off under his own power after being down for five minutes. He had 1,356 yards receiving last season after totaling 1,015 as a rookie. There was no clear indication as to what happened to Ingold, a Raider from 2019 to ’21, who walked off with a trainer.
■ Jurisprudence: Free-agent cornerback Bashaud Breeland was arrested in North Carolina and faces a litany of drug and weapons charges. The 31-year-old eight-year NFL veteran was accused of possessing a stolen Mercedesbenz SUV, several firearms (including two AK-47S and two AR-15S), 62 grams of suspected illegal mushrooms and 5 pounds of marijuana. He was released on $30,000 bond.
■ Cardinals: Running back Marlon Mack is out for the season after sustaining a left Achilles tendon injury Tuesday, coach Jonathan Gannon said. The 27-year-old, who signed as a free agent Friday, split last season between Denver and San Francisco after spending his first five NFL seasons with Indianapolis. Injuries have slowed Mack since he ran for a career-high 1,091 yards in 2019.
■ Bills: The team is on the hook for as much as $300 million in cost overruns for its new stadium. It is required to pay for any overruns more than $1.4 billion, with the public’s share fixed at $850 million.
■ Ravens: Defensive tackle Broderick Washington signed a three-year, $15.75 million extension. The 26-year-old runstopper out of Texas Tech had a careerhigh 49 tackles in 2022.
