DR. DAVID ABERMAN

David Richard Aberman, MD, 76, of Henderson, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2023. David was born in Chicago, IL on January 23, 1947, to Edith “Lee” (nee

Wilson) and Edgar Aberman. He is predeceased by his parents and daughter, Juliet Abermanrubenstein. survived by his wife, Gloria (nee Herman); son, Matthew Aberman; three brothers, Jim Aberman (Dana), Jonathan Aberman (Carolyn), and Evan Aberman; sister, Laura Bordow (David); as well as many nieces and nephews. He attended the University of Minnesota and received a BA in psychology from the University of Illinois, Chicago, then received his M.D. degree from the UAG – Guadalajara, Mexico. David completed an internship at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and his residency in OB-GYN at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL. He moved to Las Vegas in

1982 where he practiced OB-GYN until retiring in 2016. During his career in Las Vegas he was Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of OB-GYN at University of Nevada School of Medicine from

1984 – 1994. He was Chief of Staff at Women’s’ Hospital from 1988 – 1991, President of the Clark County OB-GYN Association from 1989 – 1990. David served on many hospital committees and wrote numerous academic papers for publication in medical journals. His love of learning led him to attend the University of Nevada Las Vegas Sam

Boyd School of Law, graduating Cum Laude in 2002 as a member of The Charter Class. He loved traveling the world and the U.S.A., loved reading, especially science fiction, and loved the great outdoors, skiing and fishing, and the Chicago Bears. But most of all he loved his wife and family, friends and colleagues. Graveside services will be on at 10:00AM on Sunday August 20, 2023 at King David Memorial Cemetery, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane, Las Vegas, NV. Donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
