Celebrate the season with a holiday show or attraction

This holiday season take in a show or attraction. Here are some options:

• Glittering Lights brings holiday cheer for the 23rd year through Jan. 7. The premier drive- thru light show has become a holiday tradition and brings the story of the first Christmas to life as various groups reenact the Living Nativity on select dates.

• Another holiday tradition, Nevada Ballet Theatre presents “The Nutcracker” choreograp­hed by James Canfield at The Smith Center for The Performing Arts Dec. 8-20.

• The Conservato­ry & Botanical Gardens at Bellagio will take guests through Tchaikovsk­y’s ballet classic “The Nutcracker” with its enchanting holiday display. The Conservato­ry is compliment­ary and open 24 hours daily from Dec. 2 to Jan. 2.

• The Smith Center for the Performing Arts is presenting 18 holiday shows throughout the season. The legendary Johnny Mathis Christmas Show will present traditiona­l songs. Clint Holmes, Earl Turner and Jonathan Karrant bring jazz and pop to the holiday. Matteo Bocelli conveys an internatio­nal flavor to Christmas. Check out the calendar at smithcente­r.com.

• King Arthur and his kingdom will transport guests in the Tournament of Kings: ‘Twas the Knight at The Excalibur from Nov. 22 to Dec. 25. Kings will joust and participat­e in festive medieval games to the cheers and jeers of the audience as they dine on a holiday meal.

• The annual Santa in the Shipwreck will be held at Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay. It will feature Santa Jaws, who will “swim” by to join the kiddies for a photo.

• Internatio­nal folk, rock and country singer Gada Valenti’s Christmas concert will bring love and romance to the holiday season at The Showroom at the Ahern Boutique Hotel on Nov. 30. She will celebrate the release of her holiday album, “Love Under The Christmas Tree.”
