Furor boils over Ronaldo’s apparent obscene taunt in Saudi league game
Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo is under heavy criticism after seemingly making an offensive gesture following his team’s 3-2 victory over Al Shabab in a Saudi Pro League match Sunday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. After the final whistle, social media videos showed the five-time Ballon d’or winner cupping his ear and repeatedly thrusting his hand forward near his pelvis, seemingly aimed at rival fans. The Saudi soccer federation opened an investigation. Ronaldo, 39, has a league-high 22 goals this season.
