Jokic’s triple-double helps Nuggets cool off Warriors

Nikola Jokic had 32 points, 16 assists and 16 rebounds in his 18th triple-double this season and third in as many games to lead Denver past Golden State 119-103 on Sunday in San Francisco.

Jokic, who hit a Stephen Curry-like 40-foot shot to cap the Nuggets’ 130-127 win at Golden State on Jan. 4, notched his 122nd regular-season triple-double Sunday as Denver capped a sweep of the teams’ four-game season series.

Klay Thompson scored all of his 23 points in the first half, and Curry missed his first seven 3-point tries before totaling 20 points for the Warriors, who had won three in a row and eight of their previous nine.

■ Bucks 119, 76ers 98: At Philadelph­ia, Giannis Antetokoun­mpo had 30 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists for Milwaukee in Bucks coach Doc Rivers’ first game at Philadelph­ia since the 76ers fired him in May. Rivers went 154-82 with the Sixers; he’s 5-7 with Milwaukee.

■ Hornets 93, Trail Blazers 80:

Portland, Ore., Nick Richards had 21 points and 10 rebounds for Charlotte, which won for the fifth time in six games. Portland missed 29 of 32 3-point tries, including 23 straight in one stretch, in its eighth loss in a row.

■ Suns 123, Lakers 113: At Phoenix, Grayson Allen had 24 points to lead four 20-point scorers for Phoenix, which didn’t trail in the fourth quarter. Lebron James had 28 points and 12 assists for Los Angeles, which had won four of its previous five.

■ Thunder 123, Rockets 110: At Houston, Shai Gilgeous-alexander scored 36 points and Chet Holmgren 29 for Oklahoma City (40-17), which overcame a 16-point second-quarter deficit and won its fifth straight to tie Minnesota atop the West.

■ Kings 123, Clippers 107: At Los Angeles, De’aaron Fox had 33 points and Domantas Sabonis 17 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists for Sacramento, which won its third in a row. Los Angeles has alternated wins and losses for its past eight games.

■ Cavaliers 114, Wizards 105: At Washington, Jarrett Allen had 22 points and 12 rebounds for Cleveland, which dealt Washington its 11th straight loss. The Wizards are 2-12 under interim coach Brian Keefe, a former UNLV guard.

■ Jazz 128, Spurs 109: At Salt Lake City, Lauri Markkanen had 26 points for Utah, which scored 34 points off 20 San Antonio turnovers and halted a five-game skid. The Spurs lost their fourth in a row and 11th in 12 games.

■ Pacers 133, Mavericks 111: At Indianapol­is, Myles Turner scored 33 points for Indiana, which shot 55.9 percent to win for the fourth time in five games and halt Dallas’ seven-game win streak.

■ Hawks 109, Magic 92: At Atlanta, Dejounte Murray had 25 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds for Atlanta, which halted its three-game skid and Orlando’s threegame win streak.

■ Bulls 114, Pelicans 106: At New Orleans, Nikola Vucevic had 22 points and 13 rebounds for Chicago, which hit 19 of 21 free throws and overcame a 12-point third quarter deficit.

G League

■ Lakers 124, Ignite 117: At Dollar Loan Center, Jalen Hood-schifino hit a go-ahead free throw with 4:32 left and totaled 29 points and 10 rebounds for South Bay (2015), which shot 51.8 percent. Gabe York scored 26 points for the Ignite (6-33) in their third straight loss and sixth in seven games.
