Eagles get QB Pickett, fourth-round pick from Pittsburgh for three picks

-

Philadelphia acquired quarterback Kenny Pickett and a 2024 fourth-round draft pick from Pittsburgh for a 2024 third-rounder and two 2025 seventhrounders. Pickett, 25, a 2022 first-round pick from the University of Pittsburgh, went 14-10 as a starter with the Steelers. He struggled to stay healthy and be a difference maker for an offense that languished near the bottom of the NFL.

■ Cowboys: Linebacker Leighton Vander Esch and wide receiver Michael Gallup were released. Both were 2018 draft picks who had spent their entire NFL careers with Dallas. Vander Esch, a 28-year-old Boise State product, made the Pro Bowl as a rookie but had been slowed by neck issues.

■ Panthers: Free-agent safety Jordan Fuller agreed to a one-year deal with undisclosed terms. The 26-year-old had spent his entire four-year NFL career with the Los Angeles Rams. He had three interceptions and forced three fumbles in 17 starts last season.

■ Vikings: In a draft-pick swap with Houston, Minnesota acquired a 2024 first-rounder (No. 23 overall) and a 2024 seventh-rounder for 2024 secondand sixth-rounders and a 2025 second-rounder.

■ Jets: Free-agent left tackle Tyron Smith agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $20 million, ESPN reported. The 33-year-old eight-time Pro Bowler had spent his entire 13-year NFL career with Dallas.

■ Rams: Free-agent safety Kamren Curl agreed to a two-year, $12.75 million deal. The 24-year-old, who had spent his entire four-year NFL career with Washington, had a career-high 115 tackles in 2023.

■ Browns: Mike Vrabel was hired as a personnel consultant. The 48-year-old, an Akron, Ohio, native and Ohio State graduate, went 54-45 in six seasons as Tennessee’s coach before being fired in January.

■ Buccaneers: Free-agent cornerback Bryce Hall agreed to a one-year deal with undisclosed terms. The 26-year-old had spent his entire four-year NFL career with the New York Jets, making 26 starts.

■ 49ers: Free-agent linebacker De’vondre Campbell agreed to a one-year deal with undisclosed terms. The 30-year-old 2021 All-pro has 779 tackles in eight NFL seasons with three teams.

■ Lions: The contracts of coach Dan Campbell and general manager Brad Holmes were extended through 2027. Terms weren’t disclosed.
