Tom Brady’s bid to purchase a minority piece of the Raiders is not expected to go to NFL owners for approval next week at the league’s annual meeting in Orlando, Florida.

Brady’s ownership is not currently on the agenda, according to multiple people with knowledge of the situation.

A spokesman for the NFL said Tuesday that “the matter remains under review by the financing committee.”

Brady and Tom Wagner, the co-founder of Knighthead Capital Management, have been discussing with Raiders owner Mark Davis what is believed to be a 10 percent stake in the club for nearly a year. But reservations have been expressed within the NFL’S finance committee about the potential deal.

One possible snag is the price point Davis and Brady are discussing, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

Selling at a significant discount relative to the Raiders’ $6.2 billion valuation could hurt other owners’ chances of maximizing similar limited partnership sales of their clubs.

Davis did not respond to a request for comment.

Adams to be on Netflix

Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams is one of five NFL stars who will be featured in a new Netflix show.

Building off the success of its “Quarterback” docuseries last year, the streaming service will air a similar program this summer focused on wide receivers and tight ends.

“Receivers” will focus on the 2023 seasons of Adams, Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson, 49ers tight end George Kittle, 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel and Lions wide receiver Amon-ra St. Brown.

The show will feature eight 45-minute episodes.

Wilkins hopes to help Wilson

The Raiders hope adding freeagent defensive tackle Christian Wilkins will have a positive effect on second-year defensive lineman Tyree Wilson.

Wilkins believes he can be an asset to Wilson, the seventh pick in the 2023 draft. Wilkins didn’t have a standout rookie season after being the 13th pick in 2019, but he kept developing and earned a four-year, $110 million contract from the Raiders last week.

“I’m really excited to get around Tyree, truly because even with all this going on, I think about my journey and reflecting back on my path kind of getting here. And the way it looked for me my rookie year, I didn’t think I’d be in this position,” Wilkins said. “I didn’t think I’d be in front of you guys.”

Wilson’s offseason last year was wiped out by a foot injury he suffered in his final season at Texas Tech. It took him almost his entire rookie season to round back into football form.

Garoppolo discusses suspension

Former Raiders quarterback

Jimmy Garoppolo shed light on his two-game suspension for violating the NFL’S performance-enhancing substances policy in his introductory news conference with the Rams on Tuesday.

Garoppolo, who signed a one-year contract to be the Rams’ backup, said he fumbled the waiver process the league makes available to players to get clearance for medication that violates the rules. The Therapeutic Use Exemption is accessed by players who need a specific substance for a medical condition.

“I hate to joke about it, but I just messed up the T.U.E. when I first got to Las Vegas,” said Garoppolo, released March 13 by the Raiders.
