Wish

Disney+ ■ Feature Film Exclusive

In this animated feature, young Asha (voice of Ariana Debose), a sharp-witted idealist, makes a wish for her community of Rosas to be saved from a coming darkness. Her wish is so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force — a little ball of boundless energy named Star. Together, Asha and Star confront a most formidable foe, King Magnifico (Chris Pine), the ruler of Rosas, to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen.

The CW, 8 p.m. ■ Season Premiere Season 4 of this modern remake of Walker, Texas Ranger starring Jared Padalecki returns to address some of the cliffhange­rs from the finale of Season 3, in which many things were left up in the air and Cordell’s son Auggie (Kale Culley) revealed he wanted to join the Army.

The Masked Singer

In this episode, “Great American Eclipse,” learn how to watch an eclipse safely and follow scientists as they work to unlock the secrets of our sun.

Sight Unseen

This unusual Canadian crime drama follows former homicide detective Tess (Dolly Lewis), who is forced to leave her job after being diagnosed clinically blind. After being introduced to a visual assistant (Agam Darshi) who can “see” for her with an app but struggles with agoraphobi­a, Tess begins to help the Police Department with solving crimes while trying to navigate a new world without most of her vision.

A Brief History of the Future

This six-part docuseries weaves together history, science and unexpected storytelli­ng to expand our understand­ing about the impact that the choices we make today will have on our tomorrows.
