Lopez vs. Lopez

Two back-to-back episodes of the sitcom premiere tonight. In “Lopez vs. Raider Nation,” as part of AA, George (George Lopez) makes amends with everyone except Oscar (Al Madrigal). Oscar seeks an apology from George at a football game, but a run-in with a brutally honest sideline reporter (guest star Marshawn Lynch) fumbles the plan. Jaime Camil joins the cast in a recurring role as Josué Consuelos, a charming personal-injury attorney who sweeps Rosie (Selenis Leyva) off her feet with romantic baladas he plays for her on his Spanish guitar. Then, in “Lopez vs. Let It Go,” Cheech Marin returns as Carlos the curandero, a spiritual healer. George joins Carlos’ meditation group, where he learns the mantra “let it go.” But Mayan worries when her dad is “letting go” of too much, including all of her living-room furniture. Meanwhile, Rosie is horrified when Bryan (guest star Tommy Chong), a guy who has been waking and baking since 1978, moves in next door, becomes best buds with Oscar and crashes her meditation session with Carlos.
