Suárez, Harper power Phillies over Rockies

PHILADELPH­IA — Ranger Suárez pitched a seven-hitter, Bryce Harper homered and the Philadelph­ia Phillies beat the Colorado Rockies 5-0 on Tuesday.

Suárez struck out eight and walked one in the majors’ second complete game this season. Suárez (3-0) threw 112 pitches, 79 for strikes, in his second career complete game.

Harper hit an RBI double in the sixth inning and a two-run shot in the eighth. J.T. Realmuto also went deep for Philadelph­ia, which moved two games over .500 for the first time this season.

The Rockies dropped to 4-14 after they had a club-record 103 losses last season. They are 2-10 on the road after they had the worst road record in the majors last year at 22-59.

Colorado’s Kris Bryant was not in the lineup for the third straight day after getting injured on Saturday in Toronto when crashed into the outfield wall to make a catch.

■ Cardinals 3, Athletics 2: At Oakland, Calif., Lance Lynn (1-0) earned his first win for St. Louis in seven years before a season-low crowd of 3,296 at the Oakland Coliseum. Oakland fell to 3-9 at home and 7-11 overall.

■ Mariners 3, Reds 1: At Seattle, Jonatan Clase had an RBI double in his second major league game and Mitch Haniger added a key twoout RBI single to back Logan Gilbert (1-0), who retired 12 of the first 13 batters.

■ Marlins 6, Giants 3: At Miami, Ryan Weathers struck out a career-high 10 in six innings before departing because of cramps in his left hand. Luis Arraez had two hits and two RBIS for Miami.

■ Padres 6, Brewers 3: At Milwaukee, Haseong Kim hit a three-run homer and Fernando Tatis Jr. had three hits and scored twice as San Diego handed Milwaukee its first series loss of the season.

■ Blue Jays 5, Yankees 4: At Toronto, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. reached base four times and had two RBIS as Toronto became the first opponent to win a series against New York this season.

■ Braves 6, Astros 2: At Houston, Orlando Arcia homered as Atlanta won its third straight. Reynaldo López struck out seven over six scoreless innings.

■ Rays 7, Angels 6: At St. Petersburg, Fla., Amed Rosario drove in the winning run with an infield single as Tampa Bay scored twice in the 13th inning.

■ Guardians 10, Red Sox 7: At Boston, José Ramírez hit a tiebreakin­g RBI single in the 11th inning with no outs and runners on first and second.

■ Tigers 4, Rangers 2: At Detroit, Gio Urshela had an RBI single and Matt Vierling scored on a wild pitch in the eighth inning.

■ Mets 3, Pirates 1: At New York, Jeff Mcneil had an RBI double for New York, which has won nine of 12 following an 0-5 start.

■ Orioles 11, Twins 3: At Baltimore, Gunnar Henderson, Jordan Westburg and Ryan O’hearn homered for Baltimore.

■ Dodgers 6, Nationals 2: At Los Angeles, Mookie Betts went 5-for-5 with two doubles, two RBIS and two runs scored. PCL

■ Rainiers 14, Aviators 0: At Las Vegas Ballpark, the Aviators (5-10) were outhit 14-6 by Tacoma. Stephen Piscotty had two of the six hits for the Aviators. Jack O’loughlin (0-3) was tagged with the loss. Jhonathan Diaz (3-0) earned the win for the Rainiers (12-4).
