SUTTON FOSTER

The two-time Tony winner and TV star lets Life & Style in on her fab, fab world

-

The last book I loved was...

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. It’s very geeky, but I am geeky. It’s sort of like Willy Wonka meets Steve Jobs. And Steven Spielberg is making it into a movie!

My fashion secret is...

Amopé’s Gelactiv Insoles and Inserts. So often my feet are just miserable, but these really make a difference and provide hours of comfort. The oldest thing in my closet is... an old Velvet brand T-shirt. The pits are going; it’s bad. But I can’t seem to let go.

My most luxe getaway was...

when my husband [screenwriter Ted Griffin] and I went to St. Barts for a week last year. I am very frugal, but we did it right: We stayed at this great hotel with our own pool and drove all over in a little convertible. Plus, we rented a boat and swam with turtles — that was the coolest thing!

A star whose style I admire is...

Emma Stone. She is very classic and elegant, and I always like what she wears to big events. The time I was most starstruck was when... I sat next to John Legend at an event. I worried I was in his space, so I kept moving my chair farther and farther away; I was literally in my husband’s lap at the end of the event because I was so scared. Everyone said he was so nice, but I couldn’t be normal. My first red carpet was... the opening of Mamma Mia! on Broadway. I was terrified and overwhelmed. I’m still terrible on carpets. I feel like in every picture I look really hungry because I get really wide- eyed and have giant teeth. It’s not my thing.
