Legal Woes

Animal rescue organizati­on Spot Rescue filed a lawsuit against Lisa Vanderpump, hubby Ken Todd and their Vanderpump Dog Foundation on Aug. 7, claiming they violated a contract, bounced checks and that Ken, 72, threw a female exec against a wall when Spot Rescue refused to send dogs to a fundraiser. The Vanderpump Rules star, 56, has denied any wrongdoing.

Brooklyn NineNine’s Andy Samberg, 38, and singer wife Joanna Newsom, 35, have welcomed their first child, a daughter, a rep confirmed Aug. 8. • Laguna Beach alum Casey Reinhardt, 31, announced on Aug. 8 that she is expecting her second child with hubby Sean Brown in January. The duo are already parents to a 1-year-old daughter. • Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, 17, revealed Aug. 7 that she is expecting her first child with fiancé Joshua Efird.

Broadway star Barbara Cook, who won a Tony for playing Marian the librarian in 1957’s The Music Man and later became

a famed cabaret singer, died of respirator­y failure on Aug. 8. She was 89. • Ty Hardin, who starred as Bronco Layne on the TV series Bronco in the 1950s and early ’60s, died Aug. 3 at age 87. • After surviving multiple previous shootings, rapper Yung Mazi, 31, was shot and killed outside an Atlanta pizzeria on Aug. 6. • Haruo Nakajima, who wore a 200-pound suit to play Godzilla in 12 films, starting with the 1954 original, died of pneumonia Aug. 7. He was 88.

Making Progress

Tiger Woods, 41, who was arrested in Florida in May on suspicion of driving under the influence, has en-

tered a DUI first-offender program involving classes, community service and possible treatment, a Florida prosecutor said Aug. 9. Successful completion would allow him to avoid a conviction.
