Getting Hitched

After falling madly in love on the set of their new movie, Jennifer Lawrence and director Darren Aronofsky are heading down the aisle

All the details of Jennifer Lawrence and Darren Aronofsky’s winter wedding ceremony.

Jennifer Lawrence is a workaholic, churning out movie after movie since 2010. But now, she announced on Today on Sept. 14, she’s taking a break from acting. “I don’t have anything set for two years,” she noted. When asked how she’d fill her time, she joked she’d “start making pots.”

Turns out she has far more exciting plans. Now that she and her boyfriend of a year, director Darren Aronofsky, are finishing up promoting their new movie, Mother!, Life & Style has exclusively learned they’re working on another big production together: a wedding! The nuptials could happen as soon as this winter, sources say. “Jennifer and Darren want to be married by the new year,” says an insider. “They have a really strong connection. She’s always said she’ll know when the right guy comes along, and Darren is that guy.” The couple are rushing to put together a winter wedding in NYC, adds a source: “They can’t wait to tie the knot. They’re just crazy about each other.”

AN INTIMATE AFFAIR

J- Law, 27, and Darren, 48, aren’t the most likely couple. For one thing, there’s the 21-year age difference between them. But “they’re totally on the same page” about their relationship and their wedding, the source says. “Neither of them wants some over-the-top thing,” says the insider. “It will be intimate and classy, with special friends, family and some celebrity guests.” Jennifer’s close friends Bradley Cooper and Amy

Schumer will make the invite list, and she’d love pal Adele to perform. Jen’s big brothers, Ben and Blaine, will also be in the ceremony. And though Darren’s son, Henry (with ex Rachel Weisz), is, at 11, “too old to be a ring bearer, he’ll definitely play a part,” says the source.

They’re eyeing NYC’S Peninsula hotel for the “I do”s, and Jennifer’s looking at gowns to match the stately setting. “She wants to wear a custom-made Dior wedding dress, similar to the gown she wore to the Academy Awards in 2013,” says the source. “Jen has joked to pals that she’ll be extra careful not to fall down the aisle!”

But the reception will be as laid- back as the bride. “She wants her wedding party to be lots of fun,” the source says. “Champagne will be flowing throughout the evening, and she’s planning to have a karaoke station where she’ll get to sing along to all her favorite tunes with her pals.”

Jennifer knows Darren will be on board. “She really loves that he’s not your typical Hollywood type,” the insider says. “He’s a regular guy who just happens to be an amazing writer and director, and he constantly challenges her. They’re soulmates.”
