Gwen Ste­fani and Blake Shel­ton are ready for a baby girl — and then mar­riage.

B lake Shel­ton sported a huge smile on his face as he watched The Voice con­tes­tant Dave Crosby duet with his daugh­ter, Claire, 4, on­stage. “I want you on my team, but I would re­ally like to have her,” the coun­try star told Dave on the Sept. 25 episode of the NBC show. “We’ll get you go­ing as an artist, and then we’ll co-man­age your daugh­ter!”

Turns out he’ll soon have his own daugh­ter to fo­cus on. Blake and girl­friend Gwen Ste­fani are hav­ing a baby girl, Life & Style has ex­clu­sively learned. Heart­break- in­gly, the pair thought the “Hey Baby” singer was preg­nant re­cently, only to find out that she wasn’t ex­pect­ing. But now the de­ter­mined stars are ramp­ing up their ef­forts to con­ceive via IVF — and us­ing gen­der se­lec­tion to en­sure they get the lit­tle girl they’re both dream­ing of. “Gwen suc­cess­fully un­der­went the egg re­trieval process,” an in­sider ex­clu­sively re­veals. “She will go back to have the em­bryos im­planted soon!”


Gwen is al­ready the proud mom of three boys with ex Gavin Ross­dale: Kingston, 11, Zuma, 9, and Apol lo, 3. But back in 2014, when she was preg­nant with her youngest, the fash­ion and beauty mogul ad­mit­ted she was ready to give up her crown as the only fe­male in the fam­ily. “It does seem weird that I don’t have a girl,” Gwen, 48, has mused, adding that her fa­mous wardrobe would “prob­a­bly go to some girl­friend of Kingston’s!”

Any fu­ture love in­ter­ests are now out of luck, though, if Gwen and Blake, 41, have their way. “They don’t know yet how many of Gwen’s eggs were vi­able and re­sulted in em­bryos,” notes the in­sider, “but she is ask­ing
