On Oct. 25, news broke that Emma Stone and Saturday Night Live writer Dave Mccary are an item. But their love is far from new, Life & Style has exclusively learned. “They’ve been dating since January,” reveals an insider close to the couple. Sparks flew soon after Emma hosted SNL on Dec. 3, and it didn’t take long for Dave’s co-workers to notice. “Word of them hanging out started to circulate around the office,” adds the insider, “but Dave kept it under wraps because he’s a private guy.” Even after months of dating, the duo are still playing it cool. After Emma, 28, made a cameo on SNL’S Sept. 30 season premiere, she and Dave, 32, watched Jay-z’s performance side by side, but were careful not to touch, the insider says. Not everyone is thrilled for the couple. When Emma’s ex, Andrew Garfield, learned about Dave and Emma, “it hit him hard,” a second source says. “He’s really struggling with it.”
