The bad blood between Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall boils over

The Sex and the City battle gets even nastier as Kim Cattrall speaks out against her former co-stars.

Sarah Jessica Parker wanted to be clear: Rumors of squabbles among the Sex and the City cast were always nonsense. “These were my sisters,” she said last year. “This is a family of people who…relied upon each other and loved each other.”

Now the real story is coming out. In recent weeks, a feud between Kim Cattrall and her SATC co-stars has exploded into public view, and it’s getting nastier every day, with Kim lashing out and claiming she was never friends with her co-stars. “The other women are hurt and betrayed,” an SATC insider tells Life & Style. “Kim and Sarah haven’t gotten along from day one, but they faked fondness for each other in the past. Clearly Kim is done playing nice.”

That’s an understatement. In a recent interview with Piers Morgan, Kim, 61, said the series was the only bond she had with SJP, 52, Cynthia Nixon, 51, and Kristin Davis, 52. “They all have children and I am 10 years older,” she noted, claiming one of the reasons she didn’t have kids herself was because the SATC schedule prevented her from doing IVF. Saying she hadn’t spoken to them in years, she called it “really disappointing” that they never even call to ask how she’s doing, adding, “It feels like a toxic relationship.”

Kim’s attacks were a direct response to SJP’S an- nouncement that a third SATC movie was dead. A report claimed the film was just days from filming when Kim’s diva demands got it shut down. Kim, who claims she actually turned the movie down nearly a year ago, felt SJP was spreading the story. “To get any kind of negative press…that I’m demanding or a diva, this is really where I take to task the people from Sex and the City and specifically Sarah Jessica Parker,” she said. “I really think she could have

been nicer. I don’t know what her issue is.” Her issue, the insider claims, is that Kim really was being a diva. “Sarah hates the games that Kim played,” the insider says, “and apparently is still playing.”

With the movie franchise DOA, Kim no longer sees a need to pretend the SATC ladies are offscreen besties. Even in the early days of the series in the 1990s, “Kim and Sarah were always icy,” the insider reveals. In any disagreements, Cynthia and Kristin took Sarah’s side, and by the time the movies were filmed, “Kim was always by herself between takes,” says a source who visited the sets. “She was never with the other women.”

With Kim’s brutal interview, any chance of putting their rift behind them is slim. “Sarah doesn’t appreciate drama,” says the insider. She, Cynthia and Kristin “are very angry. They may never speak to Kim again.”
