SECRETS OF HOLLYWOOD’S HOTTEST BODIES

Easy Workouts & No-starve Diets! Life & Style exclusively reveals the food and fitness rules Julianne Hough and other A-listers swear by to get their killer figures

Nobody can eat healthy all the time — not even superfit Julianne Hough. “I love pasta, I love pizza,” she confessed to Life & Style at Volkswagen’s Holiday Drive-in on Dec. 16 in LA. “If you have a little cheat day, that’s fine! Move on. Go on to the next day.” To keep herself and her hubby, hockey player Brooks Laich, 34, on track most days, the former Dancing With the Stars judge and pro, 29, has a simple secret: Prepare meals at home. That way, “I know what I’m putting in my body,” Julianne says. “We cook protein, like chicken or some kind of fish, and veggies and some sort of healthy carb like sweet potatoes or quinoa that gives you energy rather than making you feel full and tired.” A sample menu at her household? “Salmon with rosemary and lemon,” says Julianne, offering one recent kitchen creation, “and three different colors of cauliflower with caramelized pumpkin seeds, cilantro and lime. It was so yummy!”

LITTLE STEPS, BIG IMPACT

Smart food swaps have also helped the star get her best body ever. “I rarely drink sodas,” says Julianne, who likes to break a sweat with a mix of yoga, spinning, weight-lifting and more. “If I want that little bubble taste I’ll do a sparkling water, a Lacroix.” Getting into the mind-set of eating healthy and exercising regularly isn’t easy, Julianne says, but she thinks anyone can do it. “To break a habit or to create a habit, it takes 22 days,” she tells Life & Style. “If you can get past 22 days, then it sort of becomes normal and you crave it.”
