The Chaos Continues

-

After her shocking arrest, Luann de Lesseps spirals downward.

It was her lowest point. On Dec. 23, the Real Housewives of New York City star Luann de Lesseps drunkenly entered the wrong room at the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, Fla., then battled with hotel security and responding officers. By night’s end, she’d been charged with battery on an officer, resisting arrest with violence and disorderly intoxication, among other offenses. In a state- ment, she apologized and insisted she was “committed to a transformative and hopeful 2018.” But since her release from Palm Beach County Jail on Christmas Eve, she’s continued to spiral out of control, an insider exclusively tells Life & Style. “Luann literally can’t sleep or eat,” the insider reveals. “She’s in a bad place and everyone’s worried about how fragile she is right now.” It’s not just the humiliation of the arrest that’s weighing on Luann, 52. She’s still reeling from her October divorce from Tom D’agostino after 10 months of marriage, and she actually blamed her meltdown on being in Palm Beach for the first time since she tied the knot with Tom there, claiming it “brought up long-buried emotions.” Luann, a source says, is kicking herself for marrying Tom in the first place. “Her marriage to him made her lose her countess title, and she can’t seem to get past that,” the source notes. “She now feels there is nothing that sets her apart from the other Housewives, and that is crippling to her.” And despite her statement, the insider predicts old habits will die hard for her. “Luann loves to party,” the insider says. Adds another: “The other Housewives all saw something like this coming.”
