CHIP & JOANNA: PREPPING A NURSERY!
Time to put those Fixer Upper skills to use... on the perfect nursery! On Jan. 2, Chip and Joanna Gaines announced they’re expecting their fifth child, and a close pal reveals they’re already getting down to what they do best. “Can you imagine the baby’s room?” Jimmy Don Holmes, Chip and Joanna’s friend and Fixer Upper costar, tells Life & Style. “I’m sure Joanna ran it through her head 6,000 times how she wants to do the baby’s room.” After a five-season run, Joanna, 39, and Chip, 43, quit their HGTV series in September, opening up some time for renovation work inside the 19th-century farmhouse they call home in Crawford, Texas. “Baby No. 5 is due around the end of May,” reveals an insider. “Chip and Joan- na still don’t know if they are expecting a boy or a girl, so the final decorating will be done once they do know the sex of the baby. In the meantime, they’re busy clearing out a guest room to turn into the nursery.” The new baby will come into the world with two older brothers, Drake, 12, and Duke, 9, who share a bedroom, and older sisters Ella, 11, and Emmie, 7, who also share a room. “Joanna likes the idea of the girls sharing a room while the boys share another,” the insider says. “So I imagine once the baby is older, he or she will move into a room with older siblings.” But that might be in a different home. “They love their house and the land it sits on,” the insider says. “But after the baby comes, they might consider moving to a larger place.”
