Almost three years into their opposites-attract relationship, lovebirds Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani take the next huge steps
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are finally tying the knot — and starting a family together!
With two failed marriages under his belt, Blake Shelton had stopped thinking about becoming a dad. Then he fell for Gwen Stefani — and her three sons, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo. “They’re so damn funny,” he says of the boys. “It’s just my first time being around it, and it’s easy to fall in love with those kids.”
Blake’s about to fall even harder. Life & Style has exclusively learned that he and Gwen have a romantic destination wedding in the works, and pals believe the pair are finally getting married because she’s pregnant after more than two years of trying for a baby. “Gwen had her last child at 44, and at 48, she says she’s healthier than ever,” notes an insider. “Her dream is to marry Blake and have his child. And announcing her pregnancy to friends and family on their big day would make the wedding all the more special. They’re both so overjoyed.”

Gwen will weigh in on Blake’s attire, though. He famously donned blue jeans when he married first wife Kaynette Williams in 2003 and second wife Miranda in 2011. “He’s thinking about white jeans this time, and a cowboy hat,” says the insider, “but he wants Gwen to be happy, so he’ll ultimately do and wear whatever she says.”
He’s not so flexible when it comes to the menu. While Gwen may be the one having cravings, it’s Blake’s favorite Southern foods, like fried chicken and sweet potatoes, that are musts for the reception. “Guests will also get to enjoy a Mexican feast,” notes the source, “and beer and wine will be on tap.” That’s just for starters. “The guests will celebrate with margaritas and tequila shots, too, and Blake’s [Smithworks] vodka line will also be available,” says the insider. “It’s going to be a wild party. Of course, Gwen won’t be drinking if she’s pregnant, but she’ll definitely be egging everyone on!” As the celebration winds down, “the plan is for all the guests to change into their bathing suits and swim in the ocean,” the insider reveals. “That will be an epic photo.”
ONE BIG, HAPPY FAMILY
The most important detail is already crossed off the couple’s to-do list: finding their perfect match. Forged in heartbreak over their 2015 splits, Blake and Gwen’s connection is now unbreakable. “This bond that we formed when we found out what each other was going through, it’s still there,” says Blake. “What’s most important to Gwen is somebody who has her back and is a best friend, so that’s kind of how it started. It just feels like it gets stronger all the time.” Starting a family together will bring them even closer. “They’re hoping for a little girl,” notes the insider. “Blake and Gwen have been wanting this day to come for a very long time — being pregnant when she walks down the aisle is the ultimate wedding scenario for Gwen.”
