Lovebirds Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez prepare to welcome a new addition — or two!
Jennifer Lopez doesn’t do anything under the radar. But on April 4, the superstar tried her best to go unnoticed at Century City Medical Plaza in LA. Clad in sunglasses, a loose top and baggy jeans, J. Lo was accompanied by boyfriend Alex Rodriguez and a hulking bodyguard as she discreetly slipped in and out of the building. “She’s also canceled two of her Las Vegas shows at the last minute over the past couple of weeks,” notes a source, “which is very unlike her.”
But there could be a very happy reason for the unusual behavior. Life & Style has exclusively learned that Jennifer and A-rod have been trying to have a baby, and some insiders believe she may already be pregnant — with twins! — at age 48. “It wouldn’t be surprising if it was twins again,” says the source, noting that Jennifer is already mom to 10-year- olds Max and Emme with ex Marc Anthony. There have been some telltale signs, adds the source: She’s craving ice cubes and orange soda, which she also craved when she was pregnant with Max and Emme!
DOUBLE THE JOY
This time around, she has A-rod, 42, to cater to her every need. “Twins would be a dream come true, especially for Alex,” an insider says of the retired baseball pro, who is father to Natasha, 13, and Ella, 9, with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis. “He wants more kids right now.”
Fortunately for him, the prospect of welcoming a pair of newborns a year before she turns 50 doesn’t scare Jennifer. “I’d love to have twins again!” she declared in 2015. And experts say such a miracle pregnancy is a real possibility. “Having twins once does increase your chances of having them again,” ob-gyn Dr. Pari Ghodsi, who does not treat J. Lo, tells Life & Style. Plus, “Older moms are more likely to have twins,” says ob-gyn Dr. Sherry Ross (who also doesn’t treat the star).
SIBLING REVELRY
J. Lo and Alex have plenty of room for new additions. The duo, who started dating in early 2017, recently plunked down $15.3 million for a 4,000-square-foot NYC love nest. “They’re crazy about each other,” says the source, “and she treats A-rod’s daughters like they’re her own. J. Lo is naturally maternal and has always wanted to have five or six children.”
Now her wish appears to be coming true. The next step for the duo: tying the knot. “J. Lo doesn’t want to wait around when it comes to marrying A-rod,” says the source. “She’d even walk down the aisle pregnant!”
