CAITLYN SKIPS HIS WEDDING
As Brody Jenner prepared to say “I do” to Kaitlynn Carter in Bali, one very important family member was saying “I don’t…think I can make it.” Brody’s father, Caitlyn, canceled her trip to the destination wedding at the last minute, leaving the groom fuming. “Brody’s furious at his dad,” a source tells Life & Style. “Caitlyn’s excuse was that she was too busy and had plans she couldn’t get out of. Brody’s pissed.” The Hills vet, 34, wasn’t the only one left disappointed and angry with Caitlyn, 68. Mother of the groom Linda Thompson, 68, “had massages and spa treatments scheduled for Caitlyn and Kaitlynn,” the source says. “Everyone was upset with Caitlyn, even her sweet-natured son Brandon, who’s always stood by her.” Before Caitlyn’s gender transition, when she was known as Bruce, “she was always a distant dad,” the source adds. “And while she claims that she’s changed inside and out, she really hasn’t changed at all.” Meanwhile, Caitlyn had competition for the title of Brody’s least considerate family member. His half sisters, Kendall, 22, and Kylie, 20, “didn’t even RSVP to the wedding invitation,” the source says. “He now thinks of them as fake family, just like his Kardashian stepsisters.” So Brody is focusing on his new life with fashion entrepreneur Kaitlynn, 29. The duo took a romantic trip to Bali in 2015 and were thrilled to be able to celebrate their wedding on the island — with or without some of his famous relatives.
