Lisa Got Giggy an Agent

Fetch her slippers? No way. Lisa Vanderpump’s Pomeranian, Giggy (short for Gigolo!), is a star in his own right. Given to the Real Housewife of Beverly Hills on her 49th birthday in 2009, the West Virginia–born pup with a todie-for wardrobe now makes appearances everywhere from Access Hollywood to Petco and has Drake, Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lawrence clamoring to be photographed with him. So it’s no wonder savvy businesswoman Lisa, 57, hired him an agent at Creative Artists Agency — where Brad Pitt and Reese Witherspoon also have representation — in 2011. “It’s true. He’s with CAA,” his proud momager says of Giggy, who has more than 600K followers combined on Facebook and Twitter. “He’s very talented and ready to work… the only thing he isn’t good at is radio.”

Karl Has a Personal Staff for His Cat

Karl Lagerfeld adores his Birman cat, Choupette. Like, really adores her — even bemoaning that “there is no marriage, yet, for human beings and animals.” But Chanel’s 84-year-old creative director still vowed to give his little lady a purr- fectly luxurious existence, one glam enough to be the subject of a book titled Choupette: The Private Life of a High-flying Fashion Cat! Among the hair-raising revelations in the kitty’s memoir? She has her own personal chef, Patrice, as well as a media consultant and two personal maids. “She’s spoiled to death,” Karl says of the 7-year-old feline. “Obviously.”

“I never thought I would fall in love like this with a cat.” — Karl

Any owner can understand the pain that comes from losing a pet. But few would go to the lengths Barbra Streisand did after her beloved Coton de Tuléar died: She had the dog cloned. “I was so devastated by the loss of my dear Samantha [pictured with her], after 14 years together, that I just wanted to keep her with me in some way,” explains the singer-actress, 76. “A friend had cloned his beloved dog, and I was very impressed.” So she had a doctor harvest Samantha’s cells just before her passing, then paid a reported $50K to commission a litter of puppies, which included Miss Violet and Miss Scarlett (below) and a third look-alike which Babs gifted to a pal. Despite the cost and Barbra’s admission that “You can clone the look of a dog, but you can’t clone the soul,” she’s still pleased with her decision. “Every time I look at their faces,” she says of Scarlett and Violet, “I think of my Samantha…and smile.”
