Princess Kate PREGNANT AGAIN!

“I Want Charlotte to Have a Sister”

On July 9, a little more than two months after his April 23 arrival, little Prince Louis will be christened at The Chapel Royal at St. James’s Palace in London. The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Rev. Justin Welby — who also christened Louis’ older siblings, Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 3 — will preside over a ceremony heavy on pomp, circumstance and emotion.

It won’t be the last time proud parents Prince William and Kate Middleton

tap the reverend to perform the honors, insiders say — and the request may come sooner than anyone could have imagined. The palace is buzzing with news that Kate and William are expecting another child already, Life & Style has exclusively learned. “Those close to Kate are saying she’s pregnant with baby No. 4!” reveals a source. “Kate is showing all the signs of pregnancy, and she and William have always said they wanted four children to complete their family. Actually, William would like to have five kids — but Kate thinks four is enough!”

GREAT EXPECTATIONS

Kate and William, both 36, are hoping to give Charlotte a little sister. “They’d love to have two boys and two girls,” says the source, noting that Kate is particularly close to her younger sister, Pippa, 34, while William considers his brother, Prince Harry, 33, his best friend. “It’s important to Kate for her own children to have

a similar bond with their siblings, and she knows it’s more likely to happen if they’re close in age.”

If Kate’s baggy threads and recent nausea are any indication, Louis and baby No. 4 are poised to be the closest in age yet. Just two months after giving birth and rapidly losing all the baby weight, “she’s wearing loose-fitted clothing again, avoiding alcohol and craving curry, which she often does when pregnant,” notes the source. She’s also been eating lavender biscuits, which are known to help with morn-

ing sickness, the source adds. “Although Kate’s currently on maternity leave, she had the option of making an appearance at Charles 70th birthday party in late May, but one of the reasons for her not attending was that she was exhausted and felt sick.”

The Duchess of Cambridge has suffered from severe morning sickness, called hyperemesis gravidarum, with each of her pregnancies. But while she had to be admitted to the hospital on her first go- around with George, Kate and her doc- tors have since learned how to best manage and minimize the highly uncomfortable symptoms at home. Of course, dealing with a pregnancy while also caring for a newborn, a toddler and a nearly 5-year- old child isn’t easy. “Poor Kate is barely getting any rest,” says the source, adding that William has been traveling more lately for royal engagements. “Having three kids 5 years and under has already been overwhelming, so naturally she’s concerned about a fourth child being thrown into the mix.”

HER SUPPORT SYSTEM

Kate has been open about what she calls the “huge challenge” of motherhood. “Nothing can really prepare you for the sheer, overwhelming experience of what it means to become a mother. It’s full of complex emotions of joy, exhaustion, love and worry, all mixed together,” she’s said. “It is right to talk about motherhood as a wonderful thing. But we also need to talk about its stresses and strains. It’s OK not to find it easy, and asking for help should not be seen as a sign of weakness.”

Indeed, Kate has learned to embrace assistance from others when it comes to her brood. The duchess has raved about the “support at home” she gets from William, along with her mother, Carole, and longtime nanny, Maria Borrallo. “Kate has plenty of help,” concedes the source. “Carole often comes to London to look after the grandkids and they would also look into hiring an assistant nanny for Maria.”

BETTER TOGETHER

Her cutest helpers undoubtedly will be George and Charlotte ( when they’re not being a handful themselves, that is!). “George loves boasting to friends that he’s a big brother,” says the source, “and he is extremely protective over Louis. He’s even been known to sneak out of bed at night so that he can fall asleep in the nursery next to his baby brother.” At first, Charlotte “was slightly jealous of Louis since she loves to be the center of attention,” the source notes. “But now she’s gotten used to him being around and treats him like a little doll.” With her kids adapting so well to Louis, the source adds, “Kate and William are confident that having another baby won’t be an issue” for their little ones.

It’s certainly not an issue for the proud parents-to-be. “It is fantastic having a lovely little family and I am so thrilled,” raves William. “Catherine has been doing an amazing job as a mother and I’m very proud of her.”
