The real reason Miley Cyrus has disappeared from the spotlight? She’s expecting her first child with Liam Hemsworth.
Fans were freaking out. On July 12, Miley Cyrus started deleting photos on her Instagram page — including images of fiancé Liam Hemsworth — and by the next day, her entire account had been wiped clean. Speculation that Miley and the Aussie actor had called it quits burned across the internet for days. Then, on July 19, Liam posted a funny Insta story of himself scaring Miley with an unexpected scream as they traveled in a car together. The message was clear: We’re still together.
Not only are the pair still together, they’re ready to take the next step in their relationship. Life & Style has exclusively learned that, two years after reconciling, Miley and Liam are on the path to becoming first-time parents. “They’re closer than ever. She’s just keeping a low profile — and friends think it’s because she’s in the early stages of pregnancy,” a source explains of the singer’s disappearing act. “Everyone’s buzzing about it. Liam’s been desperate to start a family with Miley for years, and now it looks like it’s finally happening!”

changed her stripes of late — and it all seems to be in an effort to start a family. Last year, longtime marijuana user Miley, 25, revealed she’d stopped smoking pot. She hasn’t been dyeing her hair. And the last time the former wild child and Liam, 28, were spotted together in public — at the Nashville airport on July 18 — a small bump appeared to be poking out from beneath her baggy tee. All the signs are there, say those close to the star. “She’s avoiding alcohol, craving Popsicles and ice and feeling nauseous,” reveals the source. “Liam can’t stop affectionately touching her belly, either. fore reuniting in 2016, both have said time apart made them stronger. “People that break up and get back together — I think that’s awesome because you know it’s true, but also you get time to be yourself,” she’s said, “you get time to grow up.” She’s done her growing up and with 12 years in the Hollywood spotlight already under her glittery belt, it’s not surprising the sometime Voice coach is feeling ready to settle down now. “A few years ago, Miley wasn’t ready to have a baby,” says the source, “but as time has gone by, she’s gotten on the same page as Liam and can’t wait to become a mom. They’ve both been excitedly looking at baby clothes!”

Searching for a wedding dress, however, isn’t a top priority. Miley and Liam “aren’t in a rush to have a big, fancy Hollywood wedding,” says the source of the duo’s pre- baby plans, “although Miley secretly quite likes the idea of being a pregnant bride.” For right now, she’s just focusing on staying healthy, says the source, mulling “taking private prenatal yoga classes.”
But the actress doesn’t need any lessons on how to be a fun mom. Already a devoted caregiver to a menagerie of animals — she loves giving her pig massages, braiding her ponies’ tails and dressing up the dogs for holidays — Miley is “amazing with children,” raves the source. “She’s like a big kid herself — she’s so much fun to be around. Motherhood will definitely come naturally to her.”
